Fall Fundraiser

Our Fall Fundraiser, held the night of the Bird Identification Workshop on December 7, was a great success! We grossed over $2,600. Many thanks to everyone who bought tickets, whether you got them the night of the workshop or by mail.

We’d like to thank, in particular, Sarah Mayhew who donated the grand prize of the Lewis’s Woodpecker photograph (and thank you to Jim Dunn for printing and matting it); Linda Goff, who donated a beautiful photo of Snow Geese; Grete Adamson who once again provided us with two signature baskets featuring wines and other goodies with an avian theme, and everyone else who donated items for the fall drawing. Big thanks also to Arav and Aranya Karighattam who with their young eyes were able to read out the winning numbers for us.

Whether you donated items, money, or your time, you helped us to fulfill our mission: to foster an appreciation of birds and conservation in Yolo County. We hope you will continue your participation by joining one of the many field trips we offer through the year; find these at our website.

If you joined the Christmas Bird Count effort as well, thank you so much!
