The YAS board of directors wants you to know that we’ve started a new equipment loan program, so if you need to borrow binoculars or a scope for birding, we’re happy to lend them. Maybe you have out-of-town guests who need some binoculars to go out birding with you. If so, check with Yolo Audubon! Please contact John Hansen for more details and to make arrangements.
We want to thank everyone who has supported YAS over the years by donating to us via AmazonSmile. Unfortunately, that program is ending on February 20th. The following message is from Amazon: “To help charities that have been a part of the AmazonSmile program with this transition, we will be providing them with a one-time donation equivalent to three months of what they earned in 2022 through the program, and they will also be able to accrue additional donations until the program officially closes in February.” If you’ve been thinking of making a big purchase at Amazon, please check below at “Support Yolo Audubon Society,” to be sure you’re signed up, and consider making your purchase before the 20th!
Finally, we want to give you a heads up that we’re planning to hold our May 17th Members’ Memories meeting in person for the first time in a couple of years. Put it on your calendar and plan to join us. Also, if you want to be one of the presenters at the meeting, please let Ken Ealy know.
Good birding,
–Ann Brice, President
