I’m very pleased to introduce you to Audubon California’s new Executive Director. Dr. Madhavi Colton. In my role as chair of the Audubon CA board, I’ve had the opportunity to get to know Madhavi and her plans for the organization, and I couldn’t be more excited to have such a talented woman at the helm. In National Audubon Society news, or lack thereof, after spending many months researching, the pros and cons of a name change for Audubon, no decision has been shared yet. We’ll keep Yolo Audubon members updated as soon as we hear anything.
It’s time to start thinking about new members for the Yolo Audubon board of directors. If you’d like to learn more about what it entails, please contact me. It can be a modest time commitment, or more, with a very collegial group of people who are committed to birds and avian conservation.
Yolo Audubon is a sponsor of the CA Duck Days Festival, which will be held on April 29th. The annual outdoor event focuses on children’s activities and exhibits.
