The holiday season is upon us. I hope everyone will schedule time to take a trip to see our winter birds. The waterfowl are in at the refuges, like Colusa and Sacramento, and more birds are arriving at the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area. Even the non-birders in your family will be impressed by the sight of thousands of geese taking off!
If you’re in downtown Davis, be sure to stop by to look at the magnificent bronze Centennial Seal in front of the Hunt-Boyer House at 401 Second. Created by Susan Shelton, it depicts the history of Davis and is also full of stunning wildlife.
Need a stocking stuffer? Purchase one of our Yolo Audubon ball caps or a “Check List of the Birds of Yolo County”.
And finally, don’t forget to support Yolo Audubon with an annual donation of $10 or more if you haven’t already.
Happy Holidays and good birding to you all.
