What better way to celebrate Mother’s Day than spending some quality time with babies, birds that is!
Join us for a leisurely morning stroll on the Putah Creek Nestbox Highway, a breeding program for cavity nesting birds that has helped to recover Western Bluebirds and other species in the region. Families welcome. Easy walking on managed trails. 8:30 am at Putah Creek Riparian Reserve, specific site to be determined based on nesting activity.
Wear long pants, a hat, sunscreen, and sturdy shoes, and bring water, binoculars, and your camera. Rain or high winds will cancel. Last year’s trip was a big hit and space is limited so RSVP soon. Melanie Truan: mltruan@ucdavis.edu
