Fall migration is largely over and the winter birds are settling in. Join Steve Hampton and Michael Perrone for a local jaunt around Yolo County. The challenge: to find as many species of sparrows as possible. As believers in the rule that when you search for one bird, you discover another, expect anything on this trip– the sparrows are just the excuse to get out and about. This will also be a good trip to practice birding by ear. Route to be determined as conditions warrant. Meet at the parking lot at Big 5 in the Marketplace Shopping Center in Davis, 1301 W. Covell Blvd at 7:30am. We will return by 3:00pm.
